Nelly Miranda is originally from Mexico City, Mexico, but she moved to the United States in 2001. She lives in Tenafly, New Jersey with her husband and two children. Both Nelly and her son have mild hemophilia B.
Nelly is an employee of the New York City Hemophilia Chapter (NYCHC). She began working with NYCHC in 2019 to serve as a connection to the Latino Community, translating all event information from English to Spanish, organizing events intended for Spanish-speaking families, developing assistance programs, and working very closely with the social workers.
In 2021, Nelly began working as a subcontractor for NEHA to help plan our events for the Latino community and to serve as the point-of-contact for Spanish-speaking families in our community.
