Our Fall 2024 intern, Kai Blumen, from the Boston University Genetic Counseling Program, presented a new resource to help the bleeding disorders community better understand genetic counseling.

This comprehensive guide will help adults in our community learn more about who genetic counselors are, how they can help, how bleeding disorders are inherited, and genetic testing. This guide also includes one-page guides for kids with bleeding disorders or their siblings that touches upon what a visit with a genetic counselor is and what it might include in kid-friendly language.
